Our Programs
At The Learning Depot, we offer childcare programs for infants through preschoolers. Our experienced staff creates a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages children to play, learn and grow. We recognize that every child is unique, and we work hard to tailor our programs to meet each child's individual needs. Our Abbott program for PreK children ensures that they receive the necessary education and socialization skills for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Infants
Under 18 months
At The Learning Depot, we believe in providing the highest level of care for infants. Our trained staff creates a nurturing and safe environment where babies can grow and learn through real life experiences. With an emphasis on creativity and imagination, we strive to make each day a new and exciting adventure for your little one.
Toddlers
18 months- 2.5 years old
Learning Depot Toddler program provides a stimulating environment for our 18 months - 2 1/2 year olds that is designed to maximize sensory and cognitive experiences, gross and fine motor development and social development. Teachers provide positive reinforcement with understanding and love, building each child’s sense of confidence in themselves. The toddler program focuses on the child's natural desire to explore, and engages children in activities that promote the learning of basic concepts through play.
Preschool
2 1/2 - 4 years old
Children in the 3 and 4 year old Preschool classes follow similar areas, with the activities geared towards the developmental level of the children. Our Preschoolers work on letter and number recognition, sizes, shapes, colors and other pre-reading and pre-math concepts. Preschoolers are busy exploring the world around them. Through interaction with their peers and teacher, they learn about themselves and others and what they can accomplish with their rapidly emerging skills. Activities include building with blocks, classifying and manipulating objects, questioning and exploring new ideas and cultures through books and interactions.
Abbott
Pre-K
Learning Depot offers a free preschool from 3 yrs-5 years old for all Trenton residents. This program is designed to prepare your child for success in elementary school as well as foster a love for learning. Learning Depot focuses on creative curriculum but also on the social-emotional aspect of each student.
